Course outline
The Certificate in Therapeutic Teaching explores children and young people’s emotional, social and mental health needs. This course teaches therapeutic teaching skills for working with children and young people. The full syllabus for the Certificate in Therapeutic teaching is the same as the first year of the Advanced Diploma in Educational Psychotherapy.

This course is suitable for teachers, educational psychologists, learning mentors, nurture group practitioners and others working with children.
Course Duration
The Certificate in Therapeutic Teaching is a one year, part-time course. The course is delivered online on Thursday evenings from 5:45pm - 9:05pm during school term times. There will be one full day of study on commencement of the course on a Saturday that will be delivered in person at our training venue in Archway, London.
Course Qualification
On completion of the course, students will receive a Caspari Certificate in Therapeutic Teaching. If you want to continue studying with the Caspari Foundation, it is possible to convert from the Certificate course to the Advanced Diploma in Educational Psychotherapy. If you find you want to change courses, you can talk to the Course Director who will direct you on how to start the formal process of converting to the Advanced Diploma in Educational Psychotherapy.
NB: In order to join Year 2 of the Advanced Diploma course, students will need to complete 40 hours of personal psychotherapy. Students should consider this if they want to convert courses.
Course Fees
The Certificate in Therapeutic Teaching course costs £4500 for the year.

If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend an online interview and requested to pay a £75 interview fee payable via our 'Shop' online. References and enhanced DBS checks will be checked upon an offer to study with the Caspari Foundation.
Entry requirements

Candidates must have experience of working in an educational setting (or be willing to gain this) and be educated to degree level (level 6)

If English isn’t your first language, you will need an IELTS score (or equivalent English language qualification) of 6.5.
